How To Find Your Bag In A Busy Airport

There's nothing more frustrating than stepping off a long flight and having to battle at baggage reclaim to find your bag. How many times have you struggled to get a spot at the front of the carousel and seen your bag whizzing past? Or maybe you can't even see your bag in a sea of black, grey and navy suitcases.

At Sweet Caroline's Cards & Gifts, we offer a number of ways to personalise your travel accessories so we're experts of making luggage stand out from the crowd. Here are our top tips.

  1. Tie A Ribbon Around The Handle A brightly coloured ribbon or tape tied around the handle of your luggage can make it much easier to spot at a distance. Just make sure the ribbon is securely fastened and is big enough to be seen from a distance.

  2. Buy Bold, Colourful Luggage That sea of black, soulless suitcases makes it a nightmare to spot your bag, especially if you've not managed to squeeze in at the front of the carousel. Why not break with tradition and find a brightly coloured set?

  3. Get A Coloured Luggage Strap A colourful luggage strap serves two purposes; it makes your bag easier to spot and it can help your bag stay closed if the zip fails. You can even get your name put on the strap to really make it your own.

  4. Add A Luggage Tag That Stands Out A big luggage tag with your favourite design will make it much easier to spot your case from a distance. You can also add your name and contact details to the tag to help get your luggage returned if it's lost.

  5. Use Apple Air Tags A more expensive option than the others, but Air Tags are great for pinpointing the exact location of your bags. These coin-sized locators connect to your phone so you can track things precisely. Not only will you know when they're on the luggage belt, you'll even know when they've come off the plane!

  6. Get A Personalised Luggage Handle Cover Luggage handle covers come in bright colours and can be personalised with your name or any text. These neoprene grips wrap round the handle to not only make it easier to identify your luggage, but they also make it much more comfortable to carry. View our range of luggage handle covers.
